Job Description
- Serve as the primary Athletics Compliance liaison to the institutional Scholarship/Financial Aid Office and athletics CFO.
- Oversee administration, monitoring, and reconciliation of student-athlete financial aid, including awards, adjustments, scholarship equivalencies, cost of attendance, and outstanding balances.
- Coordinate financial aid audits and ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional requirements.
- Serve as the primary compliance administrator for the College Athlete Payment System (CAPS), overseeing the accuracy, reconciliation, monitoring, and timely reporting of required data.
- Coordinate with the Athletics Business Office and other campus partners regarding revenue-sharing agreements, payments, roster information, and required CAPS certifications/attestations.
- Monitor roster and revenue-sharing requirements and maintain appropriate internal controls and documentation.
- Coordinate NCAA initial and continuing eligibility certification in partnership with the Athletics Academic Center, Registrar, and other campus offices.
- Guide transfer eligibility and prepare NCAA waivers as assigned.
- Coordinate collection and submission of NCAA APR, GSR, and other required NCAA, conference, and institutional reports.
- Serve as the primary compliance contact for assigned sport programs and provide rules interpretations and education to coaches, staff, and student-athletes.
- Investigate potential NCAA violations, research applicable precedent and penalties, and prepare required NCAA/conference reporting.
- Monitor and review compliance documentation, including CARA logs, recruiting activities, participation records, and other required forms and reports to ensure adherence to NCAA, conference, and institutional requirements
- Assist with implementation of NCAA legislation, College Sports Commission requirements, and other regulatory changes; perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Governance and Regulatory Affairs.
