Part-Time GIS Support Analyst

We are looking for a dependable GIS professional to support our team two days per week in our Charlotte office. This is a temporary, part-time position running through the end of the year, with the possibility of working on a variety of web and field GIS tasks.

The ideal candidate has hands-on knowledge of ArcGIS Online (AGOL) and ArcGIS Field Maps and is comfortable updating maps, layers, forms, and field data collection applications.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain ArcGIS Online web maps, apps, and hosted feature layers

• Support ArcGIS Field Maps deployments and field data collection workflows

• Perform data editing, QA/QC, and mapping support

• Assist with GIS data management and documentation

• Troubleshoot GIS and mobile field application issues

Requirements:

• Completed major or minor in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field, or a completed GIS Certificate Program

• Experience with ArcGIS Online and Field Maps

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly

• Available to work in person in Charlotte two days per week

Additional Experience (Preferred):

• Interest or experience in environmental applications of GIS

• Exposure to or interest in LiDAR data and analysis

• Experience with mobile GIS workflows and data collection

• Curiosity and a desire to challenge yourself with new technologies and workflows

• Enjoys tackling complex analytical and spatial problem-solving challenges

Compensation: $25 to $35 per hour, depending on experience.

Recent graduates and qualified students with practical ArcGIS experience are encouraged to apply.
