Business Analyst - Atlanta, GA

Atlanta based Supply Chain and Logistics tech firm seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join their dynamic and growing team! The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between clients and the development team, ensuring that their flagship software solutions meet client needs and industry standards. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity working hybrid onsite 2-3 days per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Requirement Gathering:

• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand their transportation management needs and objectives.

• Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather detailed business requirements.

Business Process Analysis:

• Analyze current business processes and workflows related to transportation and logistics.

• Identify gaps and areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Agile Documentation:

• Prepare and maintain user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Manage and prioritize the product backlog to ensure alignment with business goals.

Solution Design:

• Work closely with the development team to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

• Assist in designing solutions that align with client needs and industry best practices.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Serve as a liaison between clients, development teams, and other stakeholders.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Testing and Validation:

• Collaborate with the QA team to develop test plans and ensure features meet acceptance criteria.

• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

• Provide insights and recommendations to enhance our software offerings.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Logistics or similar

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in SW Development environment

• Industry experience in transportation (Truck, Rail and Ocean), logistics, or supply chain industry.

• Understanding of transportation management processes and logistics operations.

• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) and frameworks including Scrum and Kanban

• Experience with data analysis tools is a plus

• API experience is a plus

This position is currently located in the Midtown area but will be moving to the Perimeter area in early 2025. The current expectations is 2-3 days onsite. Please send detailed supply chain, logistics or transportation BA resume today!
