Monarch NC, a provider of high-quality and trauma-informed care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance use disorders, is seeking a dedicated Substance Use Counselor to join our Assertive Community Treatment team in Greensboro, NC. 

As a Substance Use Counselor, you will assist and support the people we serve to develop skills, behaviors, responsibilities, and supports needed to live, learn, work and be integrated into the community with the greatest possible degree of self-determination and independence.  You will assist in the development of natural support networks, provide individual and group supportive counseling, and monitor people's symptoms and medications.  You will also link people with the appropriate services, agencies and supports in the community, monitoring their development of appropriate behaviors in their home and other community settings, teach them skills necessary for independent community living and facilitate them in the practice and transfer of these skills to their environment, providing support to their family.

To qualify, candidates must have the following: 

• A Master's degree in a Human Services related field is required.
• Candidates must have one of the following North Carolina licenses or certifications: LCASA, LCAS, Intern CADC, or Certified CADC.
• No experience necessary! We gladly accept newly licensed / certified candidates. We will train you.
