Monarch NC is a leading provider of high‑quality behavioral health and intellectual/developmental disability services. We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to support individuals experiencing mental health and substance use crises through our BHUC program.
Work Schedule:
- Friday-Sunday: 7pm-7am; **Anticipated Start Date: 6/1/2026**
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse (RN) on the BHUC team, you will play a vital clinical and leadership role by:
- Providing direct nursing care to individuals receiving Behavioral Health services
- Overseeing paraprofessional staff delivering supportive services
- Conducting comprehensive nursing assessments, including:
- Physical and mental status
- Health and medical history
- Medication management and compliance
- Level of functioning and service appropriateness
- Delivering crisis intervention services in urgent and high‑acuity situations
- Administering medications and monitoring individual responses
- Assessing vital signs and determining when emergency medical referrals are needed
- Documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly and accurately
- Educating individuals on mental health and substance use conditions
- Collaborating on discharge planning and referral coordination
- Carrying out treatment and supportive services as directed by the Prescriber or Vice President of Operations

What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, candidates must have:
- Associate’s degree in Nursing (required)
- Active North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of experience providing crisis response or working in a crisis management setting
- At least 1 year of experience working with children or adults in a behavioral health setting
