Job Description
Be a part of the team who ensures the continued success of our projects. A Civil Engineer Trainee (Operations & Maintenance) will assist in the monitoring of Operations & Maintenance costs, preparation of plans, presentations, reports, and consultant/vendor/materials comparison statements crucial to maintenance of our assets and many other challenging projects.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

Support on the development of Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Cost Models in Excel for inclusion into overall Financial Models that are generated to study the feasibility of investing in new highway projects

Gather relevant data from sources such as the RS-Means cost database, project design drawings, Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), environmental assessments, and design reports to conduct analysis of O&M expenditures for new proposals and existing concessions

Support on monitoring O&M costs for existing concessions by collecting data on concessionaries from the O&M benchmarking system
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related

Working knowledge of AutoCAD

High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel

Superior technical report writing and communication skills

Proficiency in MicroStation and/or ArcGIS preferred

Prior experience or exposure in the field is a plus, but not required

Ethical, caring and with the ability to work in a collaborative environment

Prepare presentations, reports, consultant/vendor comparison statements, and other necessary documents to be used within the technical department
