Job Description

Olamim is seeking a Digital Content Manager Intern to support our growing digital presence and community engagement. This person will play a hands-on role in creating and posting compelling, mission-aligned content that not only inspires and educates, but also drives action, including event registration, email sign-ups, and donations. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or emerging professional interested in social media storytelling, community-based organizations, bilingual content, and values-driven marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Storytelling

  • Create engaging social media content (Instagram posts, carousels, reels, stories; occasional Facebook content)
  • Draft captions that reflect Olamim’s bilingual, bicultural voice (Spanish/English; Hebrew a plus)
  • Repurpose program photos, short videos, quotes, and testimonials into compelling digital content
  • Support light Canva design using existing brand templates

Engagement & Conversion

  • Write clear calls-to-action (CTAs) for:
    • Program registration (Family School, Cantamos, community events)
    • Email list growth
    • Fundraising campaigns and appeals
  • Support content tied to seasonal moments (Jewish holidays, cultural celebrations, heritage months, campaign launches)
  • Assist in shaping content that moves audiences from awareness → interest → action

Content Planning & Analytics

  • Help maintain Olamim social media content calendar
  • Track basic engagement metrics (likes, shares, follower increase, comments, link clicks) and flag what performs well

Collaboration

  • Work directly with Operations and Community Outreach Manager and Executive Director
  • Participate in short weekly check-ins (30 minutes)
  • Coordinate content needs around programs, holidays, grants, and campaigns

Desired Qualifications

  • Interest in social justice, education, culture, and/or community-based nonprofit work
  • Strong writing skills with an ear for warm, inclusive, values-based language
  • Familiarity with Instagram and digital storytelling trends
  • Comfort using Canva (or willingness to learn quickly)
  • Organized, reliable, and able to work independently in a remote environment
  • Spanish proficiency strongly preferred; Hebrew familiarity a plus
  • Experience with nonprofits, education, or cultural organizations is a plus, but not required

What You’ll Gain

  • Hands-on experience managing content for a mission-driven organization
  • Mentorship in nonprofit communications, storytelling, and conversion strategy
  • Portfolio-ready social media and digital content samples
  • Exposure to bilingual and multicultural community engagement
  • A meaningful role in strengthening belonging for families and communities
