Role Overview/Summary: GreerWalker is actively seeking career minded individuals for Summer 2028 Assurance Internships. Assurance interns will work on a variety of audit engagements including reviewing clients’ accounting policies/procedures, compilations of financial statements, internal controls testing and other assurance services.

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform audit procedures, over cash, A/R, inventories property and equipment, prepaids, A/P, accrued expenses, debt and general income statement accounts in client financial statements and propose adjusting journal entries when needed. 
• Communicate with client personnel in order to identify and assess existing client accounting processes, internal controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Review accounting transactions and consider appropriate application of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Prepare financial statement footnotes (on areas audited) and internal control observations and recommendations.
• Research fundamental issues using online tools.
• Perform other duties as needed on engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Job Requirements 

Required Qualifications/Experience

• Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting with minimum 3.0 GPA
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

• Foreign language skills (particularly German) a plus

Working Conditions

• Able to work moderate overtime throughout the year with heavier overtime required during certain business cycles.
• Moderate business travel for client engagements <10%
• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position; use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment; and to talk or hear, both in person and by telephone
