Job Description
The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Student will provide support to the EHS Team in the implementation and oversight of EPRI’s EHS program, policies, and initiatives.
The EHS Student will be responsible for:
- Providing support for EPRI’s Chemical Control and Hazardous Waste Programs including assisting sites with chemical storage and SDS management
- Support and update EPRI’s EHS webpage
- Support EHS team, programs and initiatives including the site Emergency Response Teams and Corporate Safety Committees
- Assists with scheduling facility safety evaluations/walkdowns while obtaining and uploading safety evaluations
Education:
- Must be a currently student enrolled in an accredited university
- Has completed 2 years of undergraduate studies or current masters degree
- Pursuing degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health or Natural Sciences (preferred)
Requirements:
- Exhibits high initiative
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Must be able to work out of the EPRI Charlotte Office
Nice to have Experience/Knowledge:
- Familiar with OSHA standards or EPA regulations
- Experience with safety guidelines
