INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

Hugaroo, Inc. will host one marketing intern. Position details and
qualifications are included below. 

WHAT IS HUGAROO, INC.?
Hugaroo is a 501c3 organization with the mission to provide new stuffed animals
to children who have been admitted to the hospital with a diagnosis of cancer, or
have suffered a life-threatening illness or traumatic condition. Hugaroo is dedicated to delivering hugs (new stuffed animals) to hospitals and organizations serving at-risk children. These “hugs” are donated or purchased by monetary donations to Hugaroo, Inc. Deliveries are made monthly, quarterly or annually based on the organization’s needs. The intern would be working with a small but growing non-profit positioned in
North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, West Virginia and Colorado and
would be attending virtual board meetings every two months. This person would
have the opportunity to develop a mentor relationship with members of the
board of directors of Hugaroo.

Primary Potential Responsibilities:
- Help improve use of social media by designing content (graphics, photography,
etc.). Make recommendations and implement social media strategy.
- Research new organizations for donations and to support.
- Help to research grant opportunities.
- Create, develop and deliver promotional materials with use of Network for Good.
- Website updates as directed by CEO and Secretary of the Board. Make
recommendations for improvement to the Board for their approval.
- When on site, prepare stuffed animals for delivery.
- Produce and deliver thank you notes for all donations using Network for Good
materials.
- Research potential new stuffed animals that are good quality, soft & cuddly that
are in the range of $5 give or take.
- Special projects such as creating ways to highlight Tag & Bag events, New Stuffed
Animal Drives, etc. on website

Desired Qualifications:
- Experience using social media outlets such as Facebook, Instagram, Website…
- Access and working knowledge of Google Drive. Must have access to a computer.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Excellent time management.
- Strong interpersonal skills and can communicate professionally.
- Strong attention to detail. Creative, out-of-box thinking.
- Energetic and outgoing with an interest in giving back to your community.
