Job Description
Description: Responsible for sustainment program support to include integration, comprehensive logistics, sustainment plan creation and support requirements for the lifecycle of the product. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. May serve as the point of contact for logistics with the customer and provide advice or training on system design and specifications. Functions as the internal design interface between support system, concepts and specifications. Performs analysis of the
sustainment system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Other analysis may include interface studies, timeline and requirements allocation, effectiveness, verification, cost/risk, and supportability.
Specific Job Description
Sustainment Engineer will
-Analyze Apache Fire Control (AFC) technical data to determine spares and repair parts provisioning requirements and associated costs.
-Assist in maintaining a replenishment parts model to include historical parts consumption, parts obsolescence, lead-times, costs, minimum buy requirements, and predicted future repair part, spares, and support equipment spares requirements.
-Establish schedules and monitors the cost and delivery of spares, support equipment spares, and repair parts requirements in order to comply with contractual obligations.
-Monitor/ensure the availability of spares, support equipment spares, and repair parts.
-Monitor repair material backorders and ordering replenishment parts.
The candidate should be creative, analytical, process-oriented, and appreciates the challenge of clarifying ambiguity. A successful candidate will have efficient and effective communication skills to support the development and delivery of reports, program directives, engineering change requests, and presentations. Travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications:

Appropriate technical degree from an accredited institution

Self-starter able to perform tasks with minimal supervision

Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word)

Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

Ability to interface with a variety of information technology applications to create purchase requirements and to extract data

Ability to review data and statuses and derive trends

Ability to prepare and accomplish presentations

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
