Job Description

Role Overview

The Product Engineer Navigator serves as the primary technical resource for founders and nonprofit partners. This student brings hands-on technical skills to early-stage ventures and non-profits that lack a dedicated developer or technical team member.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and iterate on websites using platforms such as Webflow, WordPress, or custom HTML/CSS/JS builds depending on founder need
  • Build and prototype mobile or web application concepts using code tools or development frameworks
  • Create UX/UI wireframes and user flow diagrams to help founders visualize their product before committing to a full build
  • Advise early-stage founders on tech stack selection, hosting, domain setup, and basic software infrastructure
  • Support nonprofit partners with website accessibility improvements, online donation integrations, and digital form buildouts
  • Translate non-technical founder ideas into scoped, actionable development task lists
  • Document all technical deliverables clearly so founders can maintain or hand off work after project completion

Skills Sought

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Experience with website builders or front-end development
  • Familiarity with Figma, Adobe XD, or similar wireframing tools
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
