Job Description

School/Unit: College of Education – Urban Education Collaborative
Location: UNCC Center City Building
Hours: 10 hours per week
Supervisor: Chance W. Lewis, Ph.D. – Belk Distinguished Professor of Urban
Education

Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with expanding the social media presence and
external communications; assist with e-mail marketing of various initiatives; collect e-mail addresses from various educational sources; prepare feature stories for social media that include pictures and videos; and assist with overall administrative assistant tasks related to the Urban Education Collaborative at UNCC.


Required Qualifications: UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT in Education, Human
Development, Sociology, Psychology, Journalism. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Must have good organizational skills and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required. 


Additional Information: Work schedule is flexible. All applicants must have federal
work-study funding and have their own laptop computer with Internet access.
Transportation is required, as some hours are required at the UNCC Center City building.
