Description Position is eligible for Remote / Work from Home opportunity Department: Provider Audit Telecommuting Eligible: Yes Job Grade: N11 Notice of Collection & Privacy Policy for Applicants Residing in California: California Applicant Privacy Policy | Noridian (noridiansolutions.com) Job Title Provider Audit Intern Job Summary The Provider Audit Intern works closely with the Provider Audit team to assist in projects and special assignments as needed for up to a 9-month period of time. Essential Functions Key Duties/Responsibilities/Accountabilities Works to obtain high-level industry knowledge throughout the internship program. Develops a working knowledge of planning, organizing, and coordination of the desk review/audit process. Develops a working knowledge of cost report reopenings and PRRB appeals. Performs analysis of cost report data to complete tentative settlements and straight to final settlements. Learns and assists in performing the cost report workload. Activitely collaborates with members of the team to ensure department goals and timeliness are met. Must be able to follow procedures and instructions given by leadership and be flexible in assignment changes. Must be enrolled in school or formal education program. Participates in training activities and team meetings as assigned. May assist department in administrative tasks. May assist department in special projects, tasks, or duties. Contributes to the organization's operations and processes while obtaining firsthand experience that aligns with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Provides excellent customer service. Non-Essential Duties and Functions Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field Effective communication skills Interpersonal skills Strong problem solving, leadership, and analytical skills Strong PC skills such as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, Teams, etc.) Possesses an interest in pursuing continued education (e.g. CET credits) Preferred Qualifications Above requirements and the following: Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Finance 3 months' work experience Environment and Cognitive/Physical Demands Office Environment Ability to read, hear, speak, keyboard, reason, communicate effectively and problem solve Requires prolonged sitting and telephone use Requires the use of office equipment such as computer terminals, telephones, copiers and printers Infrequent lifting to 15 pounds Infrequent stooping Segregation of Duties Every employee is responsible to perform their duties and responsibilities in accordance with Noridian values, policies and procedures, including but not limited to: Segregation of Duties Principles, HIPAA, Security and Privacy, CMS requirements, the Noridian Compliance Program and any other applicable laws, rules and regulations. Below is the salary range for potential new hires. Salary Range: $17.20 - $20.60 Lifestyle Benefit: $50/month This is a full-time internship. The hours are M-F 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
