Metal Fabricator

We are seeking an individual to assist with the preparation, fitting, and installation of sheet metal body components using various welding techniques to assemble automotive body shells.

Essential Functions: 

• Prepare and make necessary adjustments to sheet metal body components to fit and line up properly
• Position and adjust parts on assembly fixture, using hand tools and measuring devices
  ● Prepare parts for welding by cleaning, grinding, filing, forming, aligning, and clamping parts into position
  ● Observe and listen to welding machine, and its controls.
  ● Closely monitor panel alignment and weld quality to ensure the part meets required specifications
  ● Coordinate with the Team Lead and Supervisor to ensure products are completed on schedule
  ● Notify Team Lead when required welding materials, such as rods, gas, and metals, are low & need to be ordered
  ● Clean and maintain work area, welders, various equipment, and tools
  ● Responsible for disposing of trash and packaging materials
  ● Other tasks as assigned
