EMBRACE ALL LATINO VOICES is seeking a compassionate, bilingual intern to join our Social Navigation team. As a Social Navigator Intern, you will work directly with community members, helping connect them to essential resources such as healthcare, housing, education, and more. This hands-on role offers valuable experience in case management, community outreach, and social services. The ideal candidate is fluent in English and at least one other language (preferably Portuguese, Spanish, or French), passionate about serving underserved communities, and eager to make a positive impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in assessing the needs of individuals and families, providing guidance and referrals to appropriate services.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate social support and follow up with clients.
• Help identify barriers to services and propose solutions to enhance access.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives, attending events and meetings as needed.
• Document interactions with clients and track service outcomes to ensure effective support.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled at UNCC, pursuing a degree in Social Work, Public Health, Sociology, Counseling, or a related field.
• Bilingual fluency in English and either Portuguese, Spanish, or French.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information.
• Interest in social services, nonprofit work, and community development.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in community service or social work settings.
• Familiarity with local community resources.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a team environment.
