Job Description

The Recycling Technician supports the Recycling Department and its efforts to reduce waste, increase recycling, and maintain the cleanliness of campus by performing duties that include but are not limited to:

Operate vehicles and equipment to help process materials (carts, trailers, pallet jacks, leaf blowers, etc.)
Perform the majority of the assigned job duties outside for housing and in parking decks.
Collect materials and data associated with recyclables and landfill.
Report, prepare, and transport diverted materials to designated locations.
Ensure that materials are properly sorted and free from contaminants.
Maintain neat, clean, orderly and safe equipment and collection locations.
Provides backup in other areas as assigned.
