JOB SUMMARY:  Development of engineering design data within budget in accordance with FAA, customer and ZIM Aircraft Cabin Solutions standards of quality.  Position focused on Electrical Engineering design data.  

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

1.Provide technical support and guidance to engineering personnel of various disciplines for engineering programs in which ZIM is involved.  

2.Assist with the development of ZIM statements of work from limited customer provided specification information and aircraft surveys.

3.Research and review engineering data (drawings, reports, manuals, etc.) defining aircraft structure or systems in support of design work.

4.Develop and produce design data required for the proper manufacture, assembly and installation of aircraft modifications and components.

5.Develop preliminary engineering analysis necessary to substantiate aircraft modifications.

6.Interface with other ZIM departments to ensure customer & ZIM requirements are met.

7.Attend various design review meetings.

8.Provide technical support to ZIM manufacturing during the manufacturing and installation phases of ZIM developed designs.

9.Provide support during installation of modifications at remote locations.

10.Support other Engineering groups as workload requirements dictate.

11.Provide input and suggestions for continuous improvement of various department procedures, controls, flows and systems, and become familiar with ZIM internal policies and procedures.   

SECONDARY DUTIES:  Perform other duties as assigned  

ACCOUNTABILITIES: Accountable to the Engineering Program Manager  

MINIMUM:

1.BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or related scientific field, or equivalent combination of experience and coursework.

2.One (1) year experience utilizing AutoCad or comparable program.

3.Must possess knowledge of engineering principles used in Electrical Design.

4.Must possess knowledge of personal computer systems with Microsoft Office.

5.Must possess good oral, written, and organizational skills, and be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

6.Must be able to work on complex design tasks with assistance.  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1.Must possess ability to maneuver around airplanes (i.e. climbing stairs, on work stands, etc.) and in confined areas (i.e. cargo compartments, fuel tanks, E/E bays, etc.). 

2.Must also be able to lift and carry 15 lbs. 

3.Must be able to sit and work effectively at a computer for extended periods of time.

4.Visual acuity must be a minimum of 20/40 corrected.

5.Position requires 10% travel both domestically and internationally. 

6.Must be able to work assigned schedule with minimal absences.
