About the Role:
As an Early Childhood Educator Intern in our Language Immersion Program, you’ll support experienced teachers in a classroom where young children are immersed in multiple languages. You’ll help deliver lessons in a playful, engaging environment while introducing foundational language skills. Ideal for someone interested in both early childhood education and language acquisition, this internship offers you an opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners’ development.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in Immersive Lessons & Activities: Support the lead teacher in planning and delivering activities that engage children in learning languages through music, stories, games, and art.
- Create a Multilingual Environment: Reinforce language exposure by modeling basic phrases, introducing vocabulary, and using language in everyday classroom routines.
- Engage in Hands-On Learning: Assist in sensory activities, art projects, and group play, supporting language and cognitive development in each child’s native and target languages.
- Foster Social Skills in Multiple Languages: Encourage cooperative play and social interactions, guiding children as they practice new language skills with their peers.
- Track & Celebrate Language Growth: Observe and document each child’s language development, supporting communication with families on key milestones.
