Job Description

the job and considered paid training on the job. All students with federal work
study awards are encouraged to apply!
Job Duties:
- Assist with basic administrative functions of an office: filing, sorting, data
tracking, maintaining physical and electronic records, etc. - Office duties will include working in Google Applications and Microsoft
Office. The supervisor and team members can train the incoming employee
on these programs during work hours as necessary. - Assist with the weekly supply inventory process.
- Assist with the organization of the work room (copy room).
- Assist with additional shredding as needed.
- Will occasionally deliver and/or retrieve light materials/parcels to and from
various on campus buildings (primarily King, Reese, Cato, and Prospector). - Add and edit library staff directory and library student employee directory
profiles. - Enter data into various Library tracking sheets using administrative programs such as Banner (training on this will be provided).
- The ideal applicant should possess good communication, time
management, and organizational skills.
Specific Projects are as follows:
- Library Records Retention Project: assist with shredding and organizing paper files and preparing them to be sent to University Archives when required.
- Data Tracking in Google Sheets/Excel: this would be an opportunity for the
incoming employee to gain skill in using google sheets and excel if they
don't have any prior experience with either program. Projects include
assisting with tracking the library's temporary employees and the library's
gifts, awards, and prizes by gathering data, inputting it into a google sheet,
and keeping it regularly updated. - Library Student Employee Directory: manage the library student employee
directory. Add, edit, and remove library student employee directory profiles.
Send out an established google form to new library student employees to
submit their directory information to.
