Job Overview & Responsibilities

As a Supply Chain Intern at United Launch Alliance, you'll gain hands-on experience and will have the opportunity to: 

  • Support one or more experienced business professionals in performance of assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day-to-day workings of the business side of the aerospace industry. 

  • Assist Senior Level Business professionals with the development of procurement processes, tools, and resources in support of the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services. 

  • Assist with conducting bidders conferences, analyzing and evaluating supplier proposals, negotiation of subcontract provision, select subcontract source, create subcontract documents and subcontracts. 

  • Assist with coordinating additions, deletion, or modifications to subcontracts as coordinated with other ULA functional areas and suppliers. 

  • Intricate participation with subcontract compliance to ensure strict adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR); as well as internal ULA command media. 

  • Coordinate with engineering, quality, and finance as required to mitigate supplier performance risk and resolve supplier issues in a timely manner. 

  • Assist Senior Level Business professionals with timely resolution of issues that arise with Quality, Receiving, Accounts Payable, Manufacturing, supplier or any other functional area as required. 

Interns may perform and/or participate in additional activities/events which help them build a strong network within the ULA community and with fellow interns! 

Required Education

  • At minimum, completed Sophomore year of college or university by the time of the summer internship assignment.
  • High School/GED

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum college GPA of 2.90 on a 4.00 scale at the time of application; cumulative, no rounding. NOTE: An unofficial transcript is required if you are invited for an interview. We recommend you upload it to your profile when you apply. 

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and motorized vehicle transportation if assigned an internship in Alabama; California; Florida; or Pueblo, Colorado. For Denver, Colorado and Washington, DC, motorized transportation is recommended. 

Role Specific Qualifications

  • At minimum, actively pursuing a bachelor's degree with a focus in Business, Supply Chain, Acquisition, Contract Management, or relevant field from an accredited college or university. 

  • Must have plans to be enrolled in classes during Fall Semester 2025.  

  • Ability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer of 2025. 

  • ERP knowledge is preferred. 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint). 

  • Effective presentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills. 

  • Must be able to complete an internship at any of the below ULA's locations:   

    • Decatur, AL 
    • Denver, CO 
    • Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL 

Summary Salary Range:

CO: $21.00 - $30.50  

Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
