Junior Backend Engineer - INTL (MX)

Job Description

An Insight Global Fortune 500 Retail customer is seeking Senior Backend Developers to join a newly created team supporting critical enterprise and store-facing platforms. This role will focus on KTLO (Keep the Lights On) development across multiple high-impact domains while supporting ongoing cloud and Java modernization initiatives. This is a nearshore role based in Mexico, aligned to EST working hours.

Skills and Requirements

• 2-3 years of professional experience as a software engineer

  • Strong backend development experience with Java

  ? Any version (team is migrating to Java 17)

  • Hands-on experience with Spring/Spring Boot

  • Cloud experience with at least one of the following:

  ? GCP, AWS, or Azure (GCP Preferred)

  • Experience working in or supporting cloud migrations (moving from PCF to GCP)

  • Proficiency using AI-assisted coding tools, such as:

  ? GitHub

Copilot - Retail industry experience

Enterprise-scale application experience (prior employment with an enterprise level company)
