ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
First Gen Success Program Assistant Responsibilities
Organize FGS Program events; manage the set-up of event spaces and meeting rooms.
Attend networking meetings on behalf of the board of directors.
Plan and manage meetings for the board of directors.
Perform outreach activities for upcoming events, scholarship opportunities, etc.
Communicate and follow up with volunteers monthly regarding their duties.
Participate in weekly status meetings with the executive director.
Collaborate with the programming team to create core content for events, workshops, and outreach materials.
First Gen Success General Office Responsibilities
Organize office files on the FGS share drive.
Analyze current processes and procedures and offer suggestions for improvement.
Monitor incoming mail and emails and respond as needed.
First Gen Success Position Sensitive Responsibilities
Schedule background checks and review background check responses.
Review and update job postings.
Manage volunteer check-in and onboarding.
Oversee certain financial specifics such as managing gift cards or depositing checks.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma.
- Two years of office or administrative experience.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience managing a business office.
- Supervisory experience.
