JOB DESCRIPTION – Account Manager

The ideal candidate would provide an exceptional customer service experience to both internal and external customers.  This individual must enjoy working with people and making a difference at work.  The ideal candidate must enjoy a fast-paced environment, be detailed oriented, well organized and like paperwork.  The ideal candidate must be a quick learner who likes working alone and in a team. 

Account Manager / Job Duties:

  • Maintains customer databases – Agency Bloc and Excel Sheets.
  • Assisting clients with completing their applications for insurance.
  • Submitting / processing applications for clients.
  • Responsible for sending out rate quotes for both under 65 and over 65 clients.
  • Answer 20+ emails a day.
  • Provides information to clients by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications.
  • Create and distribute Constant Contact Newsletters to clients.
  • Daily follow-up with insurance carriers for each application’s status. Average 30+ applications a month. 
  • Send emails to keep clients updated on application status. Average 30+ applications a month.
  • Responsible for all Medicare D and Medicare Advantage RX reviews.
  • Sending thank you notes on a timely basis within 10 days of the application being approved by an insurance carrier.

Skills/Qualifications: Exceptional Reporting Skills, Administrative Writing Skills, Microsoft Office Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Publisher), Managing Complicated Processes, Organization with good memory, Analyzing Information, Professionalism, Problem-Solving, Good math skills, Verbal Communication.
