Job Description

  • Conduct individual and group psychotherapy to students who seek assistance with a broad range of mental and emotional problems.
  • Provide clinical consultation and initial assessments to students initiating services at CAPS. Lead psychoeducational workshops for students.
  • Respond to psychological emergencies or crisis situations requiring immediate intervention (e.g., suicidal behavior, student death or injury).
  • Administer and interpret individual psychological tests, personality inventories, and/or vocational interest inventories.
  • Provide outreach and psychoeducational programming services to students on topics related to mental health.
  • Complete administrative support tasks including required documentation/record keeping, preparatory work for meetings, attend staff meetings, disposition meetings, and training seminars, and participate on departmental/unit/university committees.
