Dodge Industrial is seeking an Application Engineer for the IIoT Technologies team which includes sensors, gateways, and digital tools. This role is a customer facing, technical position, and it requires providing application technical support through phone calls, emails, chat requests, video conferencing and site visits.  This position also provides design engineering support to sales, product management and other internal functions. Qualified individuals shall be able to communicate and relay technical concepts and ideas to internal and external stakeholders.

• Provide product and application based technical customer service to IIoT Technologies customers via phone calls, emails, chat, and video conferencing. 
• Provide product selection and installation support and find creative solutions to customer issues.
• Drive product enhancements and improvements on sensors, gateways, and their associated digital tools. 
• Test new sensor, gateway and digital tool features prior to release and provide supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with other functional areas, including product management, R&D, and quality to ensure overall alignment.   
• Provide training to the DODGE salesforce and external customers on products and their proper applications. 
• Create part numbers and establish and maintain BOM’s.
• Support warranty and quality functions.   
• Occasional travel, to provide on-site customer service, including training, installation support, and diagnosis, as required.
• Create, use, and maintain software programs to help facilitate customers’ requests and make daily tasks more efficient.
• Completed a Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Applied Science in Informatics, Applied Informatics, Information Technology, or related field bachelor’s degree program
• Must be currently authorized to work for Dodge Industrial in the US

• Information Technology bachelor's degree 
• Familiarity with agile software methodology

• Experience in low level C and C++ programming
• Familiarity with BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and 802.11 protocols
• Thorough understanding of circuit analysis and schematic reading
• Experience regarding communication with Android and iOS devices
• Experience with, Visual Studio, eclipse, MATLAB, Python, ASM, and Java
• Good knowledge of processing Analog mixed signal
• Familiarity with Real Time Operating System
• Familiarity using Oscilloscope, Sig Gen, Spectrum Analyzer
• Understanding/Experience in vibration analysis
