Saussy Burbank AI Implementation Intern

Saussy Burbank is looking for a motivated and curious Summer Intern to support our ongoing efforts to integrate artificial intelligence tools into our day-to-day operations. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple departments of a well-established residential construction company while helping shape the way we work going forward.

Learning objectives:

• Identify inefficiencies in business workflows and recommend AI tools to address them, applying concepts from operations management and information systems coursework.
• Support the hands-on implementation of AI tools within a live business environment, gaining practical experience taking a technology initiative from evaluation through deployment.
• Understand how AI tools can connect with and enhance an ERP system to improve data flow, reporting, and operational efficiency across departments including Purchasing, Accounting, and Construction.
• Communicate technology findings and recommendations clearly to non-technical team members, strengthening skills in professional writing, presentation, and organizational communication.
• Gain a working understanding of how core business functions interact within a residential construction company, reinforcing concepts from business administration, finance, accounting, and construction management.
• Develop professional competencies in project coordination, cross-functional collaboration, and day-to-day business operations.

The intern will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer of Saussy Burbank, who will serve as the primary supervisor and academic point of contact. Supervision will include regular one-on-one check-ins to review progress, align on priorities, and provide feedback.

This internship is cross-disciplinary by design, offering meaningful applied experience for students in multiple disciplines such as Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Construction Management. The combination of broad departmental exposure and direct reporting to the CFO makes this an academically rich opportunity across multiple fields of study.
