Position Overview: Business Development Representative

As a Business Development Representative at IXON, you will be a key player in driving our sales efforts as we expand our market presence in the North American market. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and qualify potential prospects within our ideal customer profile, initiating contact, and guiding prospects through the initial stages of the sales cycle. You will collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to create a robust pipeline and contribute to the achievement of revenue targets.

Responsibilities:

Lead Generation: Identify and research potential prospects in the industrial automation, machine building, and systems integration sectors who could benefit from IXON's IIoT and remote access solutions.

Outreach: Initiate contact through various channels, including email, phone calls, and social media, to introduce IXON's offerings and understand prospects' needs.

Qualification: Conduct thorough discovery conversations to understand prospects' pain points, requirements, and challenges, and determine the potential fit for IXON's solutions.

Solution Presentation: Articulate the value proposition of IXON's offerings, addressing prospects' specific needs and demonstrating how our solutions can solve their challenges.

Relationship Building: Nurture and develop relationships with leads, understanding their buying journey and providing relevant information and resources.

Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to align on strategies, share insights, and contribute to the refinement of sales tactics.

Pipeline Management: Document all interactions and progress in the CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for effective pipeline management.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and IXON's evolving offerings to effectively position our solutions in the market.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with prospects.
  • Tech-savvy with an understanding of IoT, industrial automation, or related technologies (experience in these fields is a plus).
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales tools is advantageous.(Salesforce, Salesloft, Zoominfo, etc.) 
  • Self-motivated and able to operate with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and market trends.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Willingness to travel to IXON’s HQ in the Netherlands as required a up to a few times per year.
