Job Description
Note this job is for Fall 2026 but requires a commitment to 2 weeks of virtual training during the week of August 3rd and 10th - 9am-1pm (up to 4 hrs / day Mon - Fri). Students can apply as long as they are not graduating before May 2028. There will be an opportunity to work at a conference we are hosting from July 24th - 30th and this is not required for you to be hired.
The purpose of the position is to provide education to the student population of Charlotte concerning financial literacy and well-being. This objective shall be achieved through one-on-one coaching sessions with other students and group presentations to students and other stakeholders. Information to be provided shall include, but is not be limited to: Budgeting, Student Loans, Credit Cards, Saving and Investing, and Debt Management.
No previous experience in financial literacy education is required, and comprehensive training and development will be provided.
The Financial Wellness Coach work closely with the Assistant Director for Financial Literacy to form collaborations with students, campus stakeholders, and the community. The coach will also recruit student participants and student organizations to promote financial literacy and well-being topics. They will also plan and participate in student-centered events. Any student in good academic standing is encouraged to apply. This is an exciting opportunity to not only help your fellow students but to also gain a better personal sense of financial literacy and well-being.
