What You'll Do

As a QMHP on our Intensive In-Home Treatment team, you will play a vital role in helping children and families remain safely together while building the skills, supports, and resources needed for long-term success.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Provide intensive family-centered services designed to strengthen family functioning and promote stability within the home environment.
  • Partner with youth and families to identify strengths, address challenges, and work toward their personal goals.
  • Coordinate and oversee comprehensive assessments and ongoing service planning.
  • Collaborate with the Team Leader and interdisciplinary team to develop individualized, person-centered interventions.
  • Facilitate Child and Family Team meetings and ensure all voices are heard throughout the planning process.
  • Coordinate care with community partners, including schools, social services, juvenile justice agencies, medical providers, and other support systems.
  • Connect families with valuable community resources, including educational programs, recreational opportunities, housing assistance, vocational services, life-skills training, and behavioral health supports.
  • Assist with arranging psychological and psychiatric evaluations and linking individuals to clinically appropriate services.
  • Work alongside licensed professionals, family members, and community partners to provide effective behavioral health interventions.
  • Help families build confidence, resilience, and sustainable support networks within their communities.

 

What We're Looking For

 

To qualify, candidates must meet North Carolina's requirements for a Qualified Professional (QP/QMHP) and possess one of the following combinations of education and experience:

 

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a non-human services field and 4 years of full-time or 8 years of part-time qualifying experience; OR
  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field and 2 years of full-time or 4 years of part-time qualifying experience; OR
  • Master's degree in a human services field and 1 year of full-time or 2 years of part-time qualifying experience.

 

Additionally, candidates should have:

  • Experience working with children, adolescents, or transition-aged youth.
  • Experience supporting individuals with mental health diagnoses, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or substance use disorders.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • A passion for empowering families and supporting positive outcomes within the community.
