Nucor is seeking interns with a desire to learn, grow, and be integral member of the Nucor construction team as an estimator. This internship provides immersive preconstruction experience in the manufacturing sector, specifically the steel industry. Interns will have the opportunity to shadow experienced teammates across capital projects and learn how they contribute to the business practices and profitability of Nucor, a Fortune 100 company.

The Construction Estimator - Intern is responsible for assisting in project estimates. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Work with project teams to develop estimates for Industrial/Commercial Capital Projects

• Assist in developing and maintaining cost estimate databases

• Building relationships with Nucor teammates and contracting partners

• Assist in review project plans and documents for constructability

• Assist with developing project scope and budget alongside Nucor teammates

Must be willing to work before and after regularly scheduled work hours as business conditions warrant. Depending on location, travel could be up to 25% as needed to construction sites, engineer/contractor offices, Corporate office, etc.
