Civil Engineer/Designer

 

Job Description:

 

CES Group Engineers, LLP is seeking a Civil Engineer/Designer, with (0-2) years or more of applicable experience, to join our growing Charlotte, NC team.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform site/civil design and drafting functions for commercial and residential land development and/or public infrastructure projects.
  • Work in collaboration with a civil project engineer and a multi-disciplinary team throughout the project cycle, from planning, through design development, preparation of construction plans and construction administration.
  • Must become proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce a myriad of Civil Engineering plans, including surface creation, layout and modeling of storm drainage and sanitary sewer systems, and development of plan and profile horizontal and vertical alignments.
  • Design support and preparation of drawings.
  • Occasional travel to client or project sites.
  • Coordination with the work of others.
  • This position primarily operates in a professional office environment, utilizing standard office equipment.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is strongly preferred, but not required.
  • I.T. Certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with civil engineering principles, including site design, grading, drainage, and utility systems.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus. Transportation project and MicroStation experience a plus.
  • High level of self-motivation and initiative.
  • Good interpersonal skills, and well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.
  • Ability to effectively interface with other project team members.
