Apple is looking for extraordinary Engineering Program Management (EPM) Interns to join us across various lines of business.

This job requires excellent social skills to work cross functionally with other organizations within and outside of Apple. EPMs must be daring organizers and excellent leaders cross-functionally with multiple teams throughout Apple as well as with external suppliers. A successful candidate will help set strategy, execute on schedule and be responsible for leading/communicating status and issues along the way.

Areas of focus for our EPMs includes but is not limited to:

Hardware Technology
Hardware Engineering
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
Software Engineering
Operations

Description

Some responsibilities may include:

  • Defining project plans and schedules and driving project execution
  • Leading internal and external multi-functional teams in engineering and validation activities
  • Ensuring tight team coordination and communication
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Understand and communicate sophisticated, technical issues
  • Identify and resolve conflicts, inter-dependencies and program issues quickly and efficiently
  • Lead development budgets and engineering builds

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing Bachelors, Masters, MBA, or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field.
  • At the end of the internship, you must return to school to continue your education or the internship must be the last requirement for you to graduate.

Preferred Qualifications

It’s helpful if you meet one or more of the following qualifications, but it isn’t a requirement:

  • Self-motivated and dedicated with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
  • Experience handling complex, cross functional projects
  • Comprehends and deals well with rapid changes and remains flexible and calm in times of uncertainty
  • Understand new technology as it comes together and help track and facilitate any multi-functional tasks that are needed
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Prior internship(s), group or personal project exposure, TA and/or work experience
