Job Description
- Cleans and maintains all assigned interior and designated exterior building areas, performing cleaning-related tasks including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming, replenishing supplies & products, glass cleaning, carpet and upholstery cleaning, wall washing, and dusting.
- Reports to the Shift Supervisor, who will coordinate the daily schedules and any special assignments.
- Serves as an essential employee during holidays, emergencies or inclement weather.
- Cleans all assignments according to the interior and exterior Standard Operating Procedures established by the department.
- Maintains proper use of chemicals according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and supervisor’s instructions.
- Duties may include performing housekeeping and floor maintenance, grounds keeping, custom room set-ups, collecting recyclables, operating laundry machines and performing laundry-handling duties. Other facility cleanliness and safety tasks as requested by the Supervisor.
- Interacts with Student Union clients, including students, guests, staff, faculty, and administrators, in a friendly, open, honest, and accepting manner.
