Job Description
Join the team that is responsible for assisting in month-end close processes. You will be responsible for ensuring that all ledger balances are reconciled accurately on a monthly basis. You will work closely with business stakeholders to implement controls and processes to ensure robust checks for accurate financial reporting. You will be the beacon for driving compliance with local financial practices and US GAAP. In this role, you will be required to manage internal and external audit requirements including timely resolution of audit findings and comments.
JOB DUTIES:

Assist in Month-End close process, prepare Journal Entries & account analysis.

Responsible for monthly Balance Sheet, P&L trend reviews and variance analysis.

Perform monthly account reconciliations.

Preparation of quarterly & year-end workbooks including footnote support for 10Q/10K filings.

Support interim, YE and SOX audits.

Preparation and submission of annual tax packages.

Preparation of ad-hoc reports for finance team.

Participate and lead special projects focused on continuous improvement of accounting practices.

Collaborate with functional departments to ensure processes follow Controllership guidelines.

Ensure accuracy.

Drive compliance.

Ensure timely month-end close.

Be technical accounting focal.

Implement controls.

Drive standardization.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 3+ years' experience in accounting related positions with relevant experience in public accounting and/or industry related fields.
WE VALUE:

Knowledge of US GAAP, SOX and local accounting policies.

Prior experience with ERP's and accounting technologies like Prophet 21, SAP & HFM (Hyperion).

Advanced knowledge and experience within Microsoft Excel with the ability to analyze and navigate large data sets.

Robust, clear, and concise communication skills.

A proactive problem solver who can manage external conflicts.

The ability to perform deep analysis with a keen attention to detail.

An appetite to develop technical skills as well as prior working experience with technology.

CPA license holder or CPA eligibility.

A mix of public accounting and industry experience with a focus in Manufacturing and Distribution environments.
