Job Description
- Patrols, monitors, and guards an area with a higher assessed risk, to include parking decks and surface lots on campus and other areas as determined by the needs of Police & Public Safety.
- Provides support for special events; controls and directs traffic of people and vehicles; erects barricades; provides motorist assistance.
- Demonstrates proficiency in using a variety of security and enforcement equipment, which may include parking meters, vehicle boots, gates, alarm panels, radios, cameras, and electronic devices.
- Uses the full functionality of security/surveillance systems.
- May perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Keeps abreast of developments in security practices.
