Packaging Technician

Position Summary
The Packaging Technician is responsible for supporting and improving packaging processes in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on packaging materials, packaging structures, and production workflow optimization. The position requires strong on-site involvement to identify issues, drive continuous improvement, and support stable and efficient manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Support daily packaging operations on the manufacturing floor to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency
• Develop, evaluate, and optimize packaging materials and packaging structures for finished products, semi-finished products, and internal logistics
• Be familiar with common packaging materials, including but not limited to cartons, pallets, trays, films, foams, and protective materials
• Work closely with production, quality, logistics, and engineering teams to ensure packaging solutions align with production processes
• Identify packaging-related issues on site and proactively propose and drive improvement actions
• Support packaging process validation, testing, and documentation
• Participate in continuous improvement activities related to cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency enhancement
• Assist with packaging SOP creation, updates, and training for production personnel
• Ensure packaging processes comply with internal standards, customer requirements, and safety regulations

Required Qualifications
• Manufacturing industry experience in packaging, production, or process engineering
• Hands-on experience with packaging operations, materials, and structures
• Good understanding of manufacturing and production workflows
• Ability to work on the shop floor and identify practical improvement opportunities
• Strong problem-solving skills and execution capability
• Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

• Ability to communicate in Mandarin Chinese is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in packaging process improvement or lean manufacturing projects
• Familiarity with quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Work Environment
• Primarily based in a manufacturing facility
• Frequent on-site and shop-floor involvement required
• May require standing, walking, and interaction with production equipment
