Job Description

Intern- Project Manager (Summer 2026)

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Managers and Regional Leadership with day-to-day coordination and administrative tasks for roadway lighting and signalization projects.
  • Support field and office teams in maintaining project documentation, schedules, and progress tracking.
  • Help prepare project submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other documentation required for DOT and municipal projects.
  • Attend project meetings and assist with meeting minutes, follow-ups, and reporting.
  • Maintain organized project files and assist in managing both electronic and hard copy records.
  • Assist with cost tracking, purchase orders, invoices, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Support safety documentation and ensure compliance with company and client safety standards.
  • Assist in preparing project closeout packages, client deliverables, and final completion documentation.
  • Collaborate with estimating, accounting, and operations teams on active and upcoming projects.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, field logistics, and communication between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform data entry, reporting, and other project-related administrative duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Must be self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor when interacting with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and uphold high ethical standards.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
