Job Description

EMBRACE ALL LATINO VOICES is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented intern to join our Fundraising and Philanthropy team. As a Fundraising Intern, you will support the development of fundraising strategies and donor relations, gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising and event planning. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and excited to contribute to a mission-driven organization focused on empowering Latino communities. Fluency in English and another language (preferably Portuguese, Spanish, or French) is highly desirable but not necessary for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in researching and identifying potential donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities.
  • Help develop fundraising campaigns and events, contributing creative ideas to engage donors and raise funds.
  • Maintain and update donor databases and track contributions.
  • Support donor communication, including thank-you letters, newsletters, and impact reports.
  • Collaborate with the team to organize fundraising events and initiatives, both virtual and in-person.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to enhance donor engagement and philanthropic efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled at UNCC, pursuing a degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interest in fundraising, philanthropy, and nonprofit work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in event planning or fundraising.
  • Knowledge of donor management systems or CRM platforms.
  • A proactive and creative approach to problem-solving.
