Job Description
EMBRACE ALL LATINO VOICES is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented intern to join our Fundraising and Philanthropy team. As a Fundraising Intern, you will support the development of fundraising strategies and donor relations, gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising and event planning. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and excited to contribute to a mission-driven organization focused on empowering Latino communities. Fluency in English and another language (preferably Portuguese, Spanish, or French) is highly desirable but not necessary for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in researching and identifying potential donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities.
- Help develop fundraising campaigns and events, contributing creative ideas to engage donors and raise funds.
- Maintain and update donor databases and track contributions.
- Support donor communication, including thank-you letters, newsletters, and impact reports.
- Collaborate with the team to organize fundraising events and initiatives, both virtual and in-person.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to enhance donor engagement and philanthropic efforts.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled at UNCC, pursuing a degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in fundraising, philanthropy, and nonprofit work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in event planning or fundraising.
- Knowledge of donor management systems or CRM platforms.
- A proactive and creative approach to problem-solving.
