Job Description

Machine Specialties, Inc. (MSI) is a leading contract machining and metal finishing company that designs and manufactures sophisticated, cost-effective solutions to meet our clients’ most demanding challenges. Our company is located in Whitsett, NC, just outside of Greensboro, NC.

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team. The Quality Engineer is responsible for maintaining compliance to Quality Management Systems AS9100 and ISO13485. Scheduling and facilitating customer and third-party audits. Managing Machine Specialties internal audit program. Responding to customer compliance requests. Assisting with internal and external corrective action responses.

This is an hourly position that will report directly to the Director of Quality.

The ideal candidate will enjoy reading, have good listening skills, and a patient disposition to perform well during audits.

Position Summary

·         Ensure that QMS standards are followed.

·         Manage Internal Audit Program.

·         Communicate effectively with customers.

·         Facilitate Management Review Process.

·         Document quality assurance activities and create reports.

·         Make recommendations for improvement.

 

Required Skills/Education/Experience

·         Associates/Bachelor’s Degree required.

·         Knowledge of AS9100, ISO13485, or equivalent QMS process preferred.

·         Working knowledge of quality assurance tools, methods, and concepts.

·         Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory standards.

·         Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

·         Excellent data collection and analysis skills.

·         Relevant training and/or certifications as a Quality Engineer.

·         Experience in an aerospace manufacturing facility preferred.
