Your Opportunity
Stantec's multi-disciplinary office in Atlanta, Georgia has an opportunity for a highly motivated Civil/Transportation Engineering Intern.
This position offers work as a member of our Transportation Group in a team environment with exposure to roadway, traffic, and bridge projects which may include assisting with roadway and highway design, construction observation, grading design, stormwater modeling and analysis, traffic control design, and the use of CAD software including MicroStation, InRoads, and OpenRoads in support of active Georgia DOT, County, and City transportation projects.
This is a paid internship position with a part-time schedule during the semester and full-time hours during the summer. Please only apply if you can meet the schedule requirements
Your Key Responsibilities

Gather project data such as crash reports, traffic volumes, field conditions

Prepare and assemble reports and drawings for traffic forecasting, intersection analysis, crash summaries, safety recommendations

Perform routine calculations for traffic operations analysis, signal design

Assist with CAD drafting and design, and preparation of construction documents

Observe and attend meetings with design team, and other project stakeholders

Other related tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Literacy in Microstation, is an asset
-
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and take direction

Ability to work independently

Must have a good driving record, and valid driver's license
Education and Experience
- In progress towards earning a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
