At Geenex Solar, we're committed to a positive work environment and supporting our team's growth. As a Solar Design Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in drafting solar site layouts.

A Solar Design Specialist will have the following key characteristics:

Key Responsibilities:
1) Capacity Verification
o   Coordinate buildable area as determined by the GIS Department
o   Evaluate the design constraints of the project
o   Determine a suitable technology approach
o   Calculate project capacity
2) Site Layouts
o   Identify project targets
o   Coordinate targets with the project Developer
o   Draft layouts suitable for ideal conditions Vs project targets
3) Documentation Tracking
o   Develop tools/resources/templates to facilitate layout creation
o   Ensure deliverables are technically sound and accurate.

Qualifications:
·Associate's degree in computer-aided drafting or design. A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering is advantageous.
·Proven experience with site layouts preferably within the solar or renewable energy industry.
·The ability to interface with CAD and GIS environments specifically AutoCAD and ArcGIS.
·Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams.
·Understanding of utility-scale solar projects, technologies, and current manufacturers.
·Problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex design characteristics.
·Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
·Ability to work in person at our Charlotte, NC office three days a week.
