Summary

Applies expertise in more than one area of specialization. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Incumbents are accountable for the quality of work delivered by external suppliers. Incumbents have decision-making authority and autonomy to deliver on the team's goals. Influences others outside the team to ensure objectives are met and resolve conflicts effectively. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals results in additional costs and severe delays in the overall schedules of a site and/or regional function. May provide advice and guidance in the area of specialty. May determine new methods and procedures. Seeks out new avenues for building internal and external relationships; maintains contacts with existing relationships. Interfaces with senior managers on issues related to the area of expertise. Interacts with and influences management and/or customers on significant issues.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of a rolling 18-month product-level forecast for networking, storage, and compute portfolios

  • Analyze historical data, market trends, and customer demand in preparation for working with Product Management to develop accurate forecasts.

  • Work cross-functionality with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to understand promotional plans, product launches, and customer trends.

  • Monitor and adjust Celestica-owned and distribution channel inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.

  • Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports through CRM and ERP to track forecast accuracy and inventory performance.

  • Continuously improve forecasting models and processes to increase demand forecast accuracy and efficiency.

  • Review product SKU forecasts for new, existing, late lifecycle, and end-of-sale products.

  • Support supply chain management with risk assessment and activities to help mitigate the risk and propose and implement solutions that accurately improve demand forecasts and contingency plans.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Broad understanding of the global business environment and customers' business.

  • Extensive knowledge of global supply chain and manufacturing processes and integrated ERP applications.

  • Working knowledge of e-business processes, applications, and system integration.

  • Strong knowledge of IT concepts and integrated business applications.

  • Ability to design and develop complex systems, processes, and business relationships.

  • Strong cross-functional project and team leadership skills.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to resolve complex process and systems issues across sites and with the Customer.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight deadlines.

Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.

  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.

  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

  • Extensive prolonged overnight travel may be required.

Typical Experience

  • Eight plus years of experience

Typical Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, IT or Materials Management or related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Location: This is a remote position, with travel as necessary. We are open to considering candidates close to any of our US locations in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, Oregon or California as well as locations near major airports such as the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and Pacific Coast.
