Gig: Film Development & Social Media Assistant

The Project
The intern will support the producing team at Tandem Pictures with different tasks that reflect the day-to-day operations of an independent production company. This includes research projects (industry contacts, potential partners, grants, and funding opportunities), assisting with the preparation and organization of production documents, drafting , answering emails, maintaining internal trackers and databases, and providing general administrative support across active projects. The intern will work closely with the producing team and get a real look at how an indie production company runs from the inside.

Learning Experience
The student will develop a well-rounded foundation in film and media production by working directly alongside experienced producers. They will build practical skills in research, professional writing, document preparation, project organization and process and industry communication, all transferable to any role in entertainment or media.

Outcomes
Organized and up-to-date production documents and trackers; completed research deliverables as assigned; drafted communications and company materials; and a working knowledge of production office operations at an independent film company. UNC Charlotte Gig Training Program
