You will support the implementation of the VOLT Foundations program- Venture Outdoor Leadership’s onboarding and training program. The intern will co-teach KNES 1231: Introduction to Outdoor Adventure and coordinate events/ workshops for the greater UNC Charlotte community. Venture Outdoor Leadership UPIPs are also a part of the leadership team and expected to assist with signature events, such as fall training, Gold Rush HTC Open House, and semester interest meetings.

The intern should be comfortable with public speaking; have strong, professional interpersonal communication skills; strong organization skills; and proven attention to detail.

The intern must have successfully completed KNES 1231 and be (at minimum) at te Instructor competency level with Venture Outdoor Leadership.

Preferred qualifications include: a consistent, positive presence in the Venture Outdoor Leadership program; and has earned a “Lead” status in at least one activity area within Venture Outdoor Leadership.
