Position: Summer Internship Program - Sustainability Analyst Intern

Location: Hybrid in Miami, Florida

Dates: May 12th - July 25th, 2025

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage provided

Key Details:

  • Hybrid Program: This internship is a hybrid program based in Miami, Florida. Students must be available for the entire duration of the program and willing to work a hybrid schedule, combining both in-office and remote work. This is a full-time opportunity, with interns working 40 hours per week. While hours may vary, interns can expect to work from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

  • Relocation Support: Carnival provides housing for interns who are relocating to Miami for the summer.

  • Eligibility: Juniors, seniors, and graduate students are preferred for the program.

  • Technical Requirements: Interns will be provided with a company-issued laptop and will need reliable internet when working remotely.

Department Summary:

Carnival Corporation Responsible Sourcing & Sustainability:

Responsible Sourcing & Sustainability sits within Carnival Corporation's Global Sourcing team and works across all brands to drive sustainable and responsible sourcing initiatives. Examples include efforts to eliminate single-use plastics from the ships and programs aimed at sourcing key proteins with strong animal welfare practices.

Internship Project Summary:

Project Title : Responsible & Sustainable Sourcing Analytics

Objective : The intern will assist in analyzing, synthesizing, and summarizing data from one or more of the RSS team's key initiatives. This analysis and summary will help evaluate program performance and provide insight to drive the initiative(s) forward. They will work with core team members as well as each of the brands, gaining broad exposure across the corporation.

Essential Functions:

Key Tasks:

  • Assist in gathering data on responsible sourcing initiatives from across the brands

  • Analyze data and synthesize to reveal trends, patterns, and/or key findings

  • Develop trackers and/or dashboards to present the data in a clear way

  • Work with core members of the RSS team to interpret results and develop summaries that can be shared with an array of key program stakeholders across the corporation

Desired Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in engineering, data analytics, data science, statistics, business, environmental sciences, sustainability, or similar experience preferred.

  • Skills: analytical mindset, strong organizational and communication abilities, attention to detail

  • Preferred Experience: experience or education in data analytics, data visualization, sustainability, corporate responsibility, and/or sourcing strongly preferred.
