Financial Controller

The Financial Controller will play a key leadership role in overseeing the financial health and strategy of the company. This position is responsible for financial planning, accounting, reporting, risk management and supporting the company’s growth objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience in a growth-focused environment, preferably with private equity exposure, and a strong track record of improving financial processes, supporting M&A, and enabling de novo expansion.  

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Planning

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure financial stability and support business growth.
  • Support the company’s M&A strategy and de novo expansion efforts, including financial modeling, due diligence, and integration support.
  • Provide financial insights to executive leadership on capital allocation, market expansion, and investment decisions.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to drive efficiency and mitigate risk.
  • Work closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies as needed.

Operational Finance & Process Improvement

  • Implement best-in-class financial processes, reporting systems, and data analytics tools to enhance decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements within the finance function.
  • Partner with department heads to drive budget adherence, cost management, and operational performance improvements.

Stakeholder & Board Support

  • Prepare financial reports and key performance metrics for executive leadership and board meetings.
  • Support interactions with financial institutions by providing clear financial analysis and insights on growth opportunities and financial performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • 3+ years of progressive financial operations experience, preferably in a private equity-backed or high-growth company.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle management, financial planning, reporting, and M&A financial analysis.
  • Experience improving financial processes, controls, and systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate new growth opportunities and drive strategic decision-making.  
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
