SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated and curious AI Developer Summer Intern to join our IT team. This internship offers hands-on experience designing, building, testing, and deploying AI- and ML-powered solutions that solve real business problems. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience working on real-world AI solutions under the mentorship of experienced technical leaders. You will support teams looking to improve business processes in a culture of continuous improvement, and be exposed to enterprise-scale systems, modern AI architectures, and best practices. You will have the opportunity to present work to technical and business stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assist or lead in the design, development, and testing of AI/ML models and applications

Collaborate with IT and cross-functional business teams to translate business needs into technical solutions

Build and optimize data pipelines for training and inference workflows
-
Implement prototypes using tools such as Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and other Python standard and custom packages

Work with structured and unstructured data (text, images, APIs, etc.)

Support experimentation with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, or AI APIs
-
Integrate with Microsoft 365 and enterprise systems
-
Document code, experiments, and findings clearly for team review

Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions

Other duties as required in support of the department and the company

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, AI, or a related field

Strong programming skills in Python (Java, C++, or JavaScript a plus) required

Experience using cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) required
-
Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow preferred

PowerShell knowledge and experience very strongly preferred
-
Exposure to generative AI, LLMs, or natural language processing preferred

Prior internship, research, or personal AI projects preferred
JOB SKILLS

Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn necessary

Foundational understanding of machine learning concepts required

Familiarity with ML libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, or scikit-learn required

Basic knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles required

Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Power Platform

Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, or DevOps practices

SAP or enterprise systems experience preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
As part of their job duties, the employee must sit for lengthy periods while operating a computer. They frequently use their hands to type, handle objects, and communicate verbally. Additionally, they may need to stand, walk, reach, and occasionally lift objects weighing up to twenty (20) pounds. This role requires lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, reaching at or below shoulder level, and keyboarding.
