Job Description
Support African Americans in the media, strengthen ties among Black journalists, and work toward balanced and fair coverage of the Black community. We are an affiliate of the Charlotte Area Association of Black Journalists.
The Project
Assists with newsletter layout, writing, design, attend monthly meetings, planning for annual Gala
Learning Experience
Real time experience for students interested in working with professional journalists, veterans and other college students. Allows students to build relationships with professionals in radio, print, broadcast, public relations and more.
Outcomes
Expect the student to have good verbal and oral communication skills, have a strong desire to work with journalists and those who work in communications and related fields, have a good knowledge of what is required in this profession, including media, marketing and branding.
