Job Description & Program Overview
Our Global Infrastructure & Sustainable Finance Group (GISFG) delivers Bank of America’s project finance capabilities across the infrastructure asset class. We focus on originating, structuring, and executing non-recourse financing solutions for large-scale infrastructure projects globally. GISFG operates across three strategic pillars: Sustainable Infrastructure (e.g., renewable energy, water systems), Digital Infrastructure (e.g., data centers), and Core Infrastructure (e.g., power generation, transmission & distribution networks).
In addition, GISFG works across our eight lines of business to support our company’s sustainable finance objectives, including our 10-year goal to mobilize and deploy $1.5 trillion in sustainable finance capital by 2030; drive thought leadership across international alliances and task forces; expand existing sustainable finance activities across LOBs; and innovate across emerging areas of sustainable finance. The team also engages and partners with the development community (e.g. MDBs, development finance institutions (DFIs), sovereigns, nonprofits and philanthropies) to originate and implement development finance with a focus on blended finance and de-risking solutions.
To drive the effective implementation of our firm-wide infrastructure and sustainable finance strategy and accomplish our sustainable capital deployment target of $1.5T by 2030, GISFG operates across the following three focus areas:
Analysts will support project-level financing for infrastructure assets, including underwriting, modeling, and structuring transactions across energy transition, digital connectivity, and essential utility sectors. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in origination and execution of non-recourse project finance transactions
- Performing sector analysis across renewables, data centers, and power networks
- Supporting due diligence and risk assessment for complex infrastructure assets
- Developing innovative financing structures for greenfield and brownfield projects
Qualifications
- Students must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, or a Bachelor’s direct to Master’s degree, from an accredited college or university with a graduation timeframe between November 2027 and August 2028
- 3.5 minimum GPA preferred
- Extensive Excel and modeling skills
- Mathematics, engineering, statistics, background a plus
- Strong quantitative and qualitative skills
- Deep interest in the intersection of finance and sustainability
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and intellectual curiosity
- Solid leadership, collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Can multitask and prioritize in a demanding environment
- Able to generate complex solutions across multiple product platforms
- Strong interest in global financial markets, infrastructure and sustainability
